Formed in 2007, SBDA pride themselves on providing quality training and opportunities. Students work weekly with professional dancers and guest artists to ensure that they are gaining exceptional experiences. specialise in delivering authentic and quality Urban Dance.

SBDA deliver authentic urban dance; all teachers have trained nationally and internationally with the pioneers of their styles, to ensure that they are both skilled and educated in their style. SBDA also offer prestigious training in other disciplines including Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Acting, Singing and Acro. Working with professional performers in their field.

SBDA offer progession roots into professional practice. SBDA have performed and trained all over the world including Germany and Los Angeles and making various TV appearances including ‘Got To Dance’, ‘The Dance Factor’ and ‘Dance School’ in 2023. SBDA were awarded Youth Arts Heritage Achiever of the Year Award. In addition to representing the North of England on two occasions following selection by Yorkshire Dance at Fresh.

Formed in 2007 by professional dancer Kim Oakley-Duffill, SBDA specialise in delivering authentic and quality Urban Dance and were the pioneers of delivering these style in the region, working with prestigious professional artists in their unique specalism.

Having gone from strength to strength, it was time for Street Beat to grow, branching out into offering high qulaity training in other disciplines including Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Musical Theatre,Acting, Singing and Acro following the recruitment of professionals in their field. Thus, Street Beat rebranded as SBDA.

Over 75% of the students attending our gifted and talented programme have entered professional work of training in the arts working on cruise ships or TV, as Choreographers or dance teachers or setting up dance companies of their own. Many have gone on to train at London Dance Colleges.
